Course Description:    Introduction to statics of particles and rigid bodies, equivalent systems of forces and moments, and equilibrium of rigid bodies. Topics include distributed forces, analysis of trusses, frames and simple machines, friction, centroids, and moment of inertia. PREREQUISITE(S): MATH 181 with a grade of C or better. PRE- or COREQUISITE(S): PHYS 161. Three hours each week. Formerly ES 102.
